Music Lessons for Adults

“I wish I’d never quit piano lessons when I was a kid.”

“I could be a drummer…”

“I always wanted to play music.”

Now is the time.

Learn to play the music you want, with a teacher who understands adults.

A note from Rachelle:

I have been teaching music lessons for many years, starting when I was an undergraduate music therapy student. I’ve worked with children as young as five through adults well into their retirement years, teaching oboe, piano, and guitar. One thing I’ve found is that it’s hard to find a good teacher, especially if you’re an adult who is looking for some fun, for a new learning experience – not for a performance career or a college scholarship.

I teach adults who want to explore. I teach adults who already have a life full of experiences – maybe a job, or a family, or a plan for traveling the country by RV – and are eager to try music, too. I teach folks who tried music long ago and were discouraged, or who loved playing music as a kid but somehow let it get away over the years.

If you’re looking for a teach who will take you all the way to Carnegie Hall, I am not the right person for you. But if you want to learn, to explore, to get a little creative with the piano or guitar, then I’m the teacher for you.
